Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was first to achieve a perfect 10 on an Olympic celebration. Bela Karrolyi was a Romanian gymnastics instructor, who was later Comaneci's coach, first discovered Comaneci when she was just six years old. She first competed at the junior national championships of Romania in 1969, she was 13th. In 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. The first time she competed in an international competition, which was a preolympics junior competition for nations in the Communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. In 1973 and 1975 she was awarded the All-around Junior Champion. In 1975 she was awarded four golds and one silver at her first senior international competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. The year was 1976 when she was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and was the first female to ever dismount parallel bars using the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen Carol Wayne started working in the entertainment field as a performer as a figure skater. Together with her twin brother Nina Wayne she was part of a traveling show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol started her career in entertainment as a teenager. At the age of a girl she started her career as the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling show of entertainment Ice Capades. They featured dramatic skating on ice shows.
