Katherine Heigl discusses the ways that growing up as a child living in a white bubble has impacted the way that she raised her adoptive multiracial family. In an interview, she spoke about the "Firefly Lane" actress, along with "Grey's Anatomy" actress admitted that her appearance didn't concern her. But after having a conversation with her adoptive sister from South Korea about how society had treated them, she was aware of how much different the two were. I inquired of Meg if, when out with her parents, she received a certain treatment but when she was on her own, she got a completely different treatment. She responded "Oh yes! All the all the time!" It made me realize I was so ignorant," Heigl said to parents. She admitted to becoming angry but felt she needed use that anger in order to assist her adopted daughters. Heigl has a four-year old son and a 13-year-old wife, Josh Kelley. In 2009, they welcomed Nancy Leigh (12), an adopted daughter from South Korea, and Adalaide (8 the black child) in 2012.
